ABOUT PEAK MOTO
Peak Moto founder and Director, Amanda Phoenix, had just moved to Australia as a backpacker in 2015. After totalling her bike in a crash and realising that hard items (eg. phone and keys) shouldn't be carried next to soft organs, she started a small motorcycle bag business called Flying Solo Gear Co in February 2016.
FSGC's first product was the humble bumbag, and has since grown to reach riders from all walks of life through the message #BEBRAVE. Leaning on Amanda's educational background in human movement and biomechanics, FSGC now designs and develops a range of ultra-comfortable carry goods such as backpacks, leg bags, and bike-mounted luggage (tailbags and duffels).
In January 2023, FSGC expanded into its first bricks and mortar store. The space started out as a showroom for the bags, but Amanda had a passion for women's gear due to her own experience of being unable to find gear that fits. She reinvested all revenue from the business into expanding the range and buying more gear until the tiny 29sqm shop was bursting at the seams.
In June 2023, FSGC relocated to a larger space and rebranded the shop as Peak Moto. This new setup allowed FSGC to operate separately while also offering other brands under one roof.
In November 2024, Peak Moto expanded to a new location in Brisbane's West End, where there is a bustling motorcycle culture, great coffee, and the origin of our favourite women's motorcycle group, the East Coast Female Riders.
The name Peak Moto embodies our commitment to reaching new heights, pushing boundaries, and embracing the exhilaration that comes from the world of motorcycles.
Peak Moto is considered both a sister company and distributor of Flying Solo Gear Co, sharing the same values of premium customer service and the love of the ride.

MELBOURNE TEAM
Dana (left) moved to Melbourne from the border of NSW and has been around motorbikes her whole life. Both of her parents ride and has instilled a love for classic and Italian bikes since a young age. She has been riding for 3 years and currently owns an old school Suzuki GS500 with streetfighter mods, with a goal of upgrading to a Ducati Monster. Dana is a bit of a goofball, loves a laugh, but is also kind and nurturing torward others.
-
Lisa (middle) has a superhuman ability to make everyone around her feel at ease. You'll find her positive energy in the shop most weekdays ensuring nothing in the shop is set on fire. She currently rides a Kawasaki Ninja 400 and frequently found at bike night events and socials. Lisa enjoys meeting new people in the shop and growing the riding community, one new rider at a time.

Amanda (right) wears many hats, as directors do, but specialises in the marketing and discovery aspects so new customers can find Peak Moto in the first place. She is also there to make sure all systems are 'go' and that all customers are happy. Her favourite type of riding is multi-day touring - as long as twisties are involved!
MELBOURNE TEAM
Steph (left) not only manages the finances for Peak Moto, but is the hyper-analytical, super-spreadsheeting powerhouse of the team. Without her expertise, our backend would look like dropped spaghetti. She currently rides a Yamaha MT-09, and loves long distance trips, including a casual 4000km ride from Melbourne to Sunshine Coast and back in 1 week. Steph values fairness and loyalty, and offers an unbiased opinion on how to solve problems that arise.
-
Erin (right) is from Los Angeles USA and has been a translator for Kaz Mizutani, a Japanese racer at the Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials. She's currently a masters student in Bioethics and rides a Honda CB125F. Erin is intuitive, attentive, and occasionally brings in pastries for the team, just because.
BRISBANE TEAM
Grace (left) has just begun her riding journey, but is actively putting some kilometres under her belt on her new Yamaha R3! She is friendly, personable, and relatable, ensuring all the customers she meets feels at ease. Grace assisted heavily in building our Brisbane shop and brings lots of great energy to the team every day.
-
Melissa (right) is our Brisbane shop manager and has been an integral part of setting up our new store in West End. Enthusiastic, reliable, and compassionate, Mel is a natural leader who elevates those around her. She enjoys mentoring others to help them be their best version of themselves.
