Great alternative to other base layer brands!

Decided to give these a go even though I couldn’t find many reviews and I’m not disappointed. They are extremely comfortable and flexible with the right pants layered over the top whilst also being AAA rated. The only con are the zippers on the back of the calves can dig in after an hour or so of wearing them. They’re also pretty cooling if you ride in warmer weather.

My new favourite riding pants

I purchased these at the end of August 2026, just before heading off on a three week motorcycle trip from Victoria to Queensland on my Harley Davidson Forty Eight. I wanted to really put these AA baselayer pants through their paces before leaving an honest review. I often find it hard to find pants that fit properly due to being short and petite, and the lovely Kierra suggested these might be a good option as they'd just come in - and boy was she right!!

The long & short... these have become my favourite PeakMoto purchase to date. I'm extremely happy with them and find myself reaching for them more often than my MotoGirl Lara Cargo Pants, which I'm also a big fan of.

My favourite thing is the material of the baselayer is sooo freaking comfortable, with just the right amount of stretch and flexibility, comparable to a thick legging. They're lightweight and low profile enough to wear under all pants, and I've loved being able to throw regular jeans, cargos, or even activewear leggings over the top (instead of having to purchase multiple riding jeans in different colours and styles to change up my outfit).

As someone on the shorter side at 154cm/5'1, the length is perfect for me sitting at my ankles. If you're taller, it's something that might be worth noting.

I really like the wide, stretchy waistband, it's comfortable and stays in place even during long days on the bike. I completed several six hour riding days during my trip and never found it restrictive or uncomfortable, which I can sometimes find with my other riding jeans. I also found the knee armour comfortable. With some other pants I've sometimes experienced knee protectors rubbing or becoming irritating when walking around off the bike, but these are a lot softer feeling.

They've also been fab for travelling. They're lightweight, pack down small, and don't take up much room in a backpack. The armour inserts were east to remove & put back in after washing, and the pants themselves wash and dry relatively quickly, which was a huge plus while travelling in QLD out of a backpack.

Things I'd change (very minor) - personally I'm not a fan of the large logo at the top and lettering on the pants down the bottom of one leg. Without it, I'd almost be tempted to wear them on their own rather than just as a baselayer. I also found the waistband relaxed ever so slightly over time, probably by around 5-10% after regular use. It's not a major issue for me, and I'll likely just sew a small dart in the waistband to tighten it up. But if you're in between sizes, it might be something worth considering.

Sizing reference
Purchased a size XS.
Height: 154 cm
Waist: 65 cm
Hips: 84 cm

Overall, I think these are really good value for money and a staple item that you keep forever. I love that they've got high protection but are comfy and allow you to wear whatever you want over the top. Super happy!
