Fit consultation · Free · 15 minutes
Let's get your size right the first time.
A 15-minute video call with someone who fits motorcycle gear for a living. We measure you up, talk through what you are after, and recommend a size - before you spend a cent. It costs nothing and it is the single best thing you can do before buying online.
Pick a time
Book your free fit consultation
Choose any slot that suits you below. You will get a confirmation with a Google Meet link straight away. Need to move it later? Reschedule from that same email - just let us know as early as you can.
Prefer to do this over email or the phone? Get in touch and we will sort something out.
Two ways to buy online
Guess your size, or spend 15 minutes with us
Sizing across motorcycle brands is genuinely inconsistent - a European 42 is not an Australian 42, and a jacket cut for a sport riding position fits nothing like a touring cut. Here is what each route actually costs you.
Option 1
Order and hope
Costs add up
If the size misses
- You pay the return postage back to us, unless you added Checkout+ at the time of purchase
- You wait again while the exchange ships out
- A refund to your card carries the 5% restocking fee
- Clearance and final sale items cannot come back at all
- Your gear sits in a box instead of on the bike
Read the full returns policy before you gamble on a size.
Option 2
Book a fit consultation
Free
15 minutes, no obligation
- Measured properly, by someone who does this daily
- A size recommendation for the specific garment you want
- See the products up close on camera before you commit
- Ask anything - protection ratings, armour, layering, heat
- No pressure to buy anything at the end of it
Costs you nothing but the time in your calendar.
We would rather spend 15 minutes getting it right than process a return that made nobody happy.
Our shops are in Melbourne and Brisbane, and we know that puts them out of reach for a lot of riders. An email thread or a phone call only gets you so far when the question is really about your shoulders, your torso length and how you sit on the bike. A video call closes most of that gap - it is the closest thing to walking into the shop that we can offer from a distance.
No surprises
What actually happens on the call
It is a 15-minute one-on-one video call with a member of our team on Google Meet. Casual, practical, and entirely led by what you need.
Before
You pick a time and we send the link
Choose any slot that suits you in the booking calendar below. The Google Meet link comes through with your confirmation - nothing to install, it opens in a browser.
First few minutes
We talk about your riding style, needs, and goals
What bike, what kind of riding, what you are shopping for and what the weather does where you ride. A summer commuter and a winter tourer need very different things from the same body.
The measuring bit
We walk you through your measurements
Tape in hand, we talk you through where to measure and read them off together. This is why form-fitting clothing and a bit of room to stand back from the camera help so much.
The useful bit
A size recommendation, and the gear up close
We recommend a size for the specific garments you are considering, and we can hold the actual products up to the camera so you can see the cut, the finish and the armour placement for yourself.
After
You go away and think about it
There is no pitch at the end. If you want to sit on it for a week, that is completely fine - the advice is yours either way. And if you would rather not rebuild the whole basket yourself, we can send a payment link with the exact gear and sizes we landed on.
Bring your safety questions too
Sizing is the main event, but the team works with motorcycle safety gear for a living. If you want to know how a garment scored, what its armour is rated to, or whether it is worth upgrading, ask - we love talking about safety! Our CE Ratings & MotoCAP page covers the background.
Five minutes of prep
How to get the most out of it
None of this is compulsory, but a call where all five are sorted is worth roughly double one where they are not.
A soft measuring tape
The fabric kind, not a builder's tape. A length of string and a ruler will do at a pinch.
An idea of what you want
A summer jacket, lightweight pants, a full kit. Even a rough direction helps a lot.
Good light, low noise
Somewhere well lit and quiet, away from distractions, so we can both concentrate.
Form-fitting clothing
Activewear is ideal. Loose jumpers hide the shape we are trying to read.
Room to stand back
Enough space to fit your whole body in the frame, so we can see your proportions.
Have your numbers ready
Your measurement card
Fill this in before your call and we can skip straight to the useful part. Your numbers stay in this browser on this device and nothing is sent to us - and it is the same card as the one on our how to measure guide, so anything you have already entered there is here too. Not sure how to take one of these? Leave it blank and we will walk you through it on the call.
The honest bit
What we can and cannot promise
We are experts at fitting motorcycle gear, and we will get you as close to your size as anyone can from a distance. But this is a digital experience, and we will not pretend otherwise: sizing varies between brands and between body types, so we cannot guarantee an exact fit over a video call the way we could with the garment in your hands.
What a consultation does is shift the odds heavily in your favour, and it means that if something does need swapping, you are dealing with a team that already knows you and your measurements. That second conversation is a lot shorter than the first.
If it still is not right
Our standard 30-day exchange and return policy applies to everything, whether or not you booked a consultation first. Exchanges carry no fee from our end, and we cover the shipping on your first exchange back out to you.

Fit consultations, answered
What is a fit consultation?
A one-on-one remote video call with a member of our team. Our shops are in Melbourne and Brisbane, which we know is a long way from plenty of riders, and sometimes an email or a phone call just is not enough.
You book a 15-minute slot, ask as many questions as you like, and give us the chance to recommend a size for you. You can also ask to see products up close on camera, as though you were holding them in person.
How much does it cost?
This service is free. We only ask that you respect our busy schedule and start the meeting as punctually as you can - and that if you cannot make it, you let us know rather than leaving the slot empty.
What do I need to prepare?
Five things, none of them difficult:
- Have a soft measuring tape handy
- Have an idea of what kind of gear you are after, such as a summer jacket or a lightweight pair of pants
- Be in a well-lit, quiet area away from distractions
- Wear form-fitting activewear
- Be somewhere you can fit your whole body in the frame
What will we discuss?
Anything you like. The main reason we offer it is so we can recommend a size based on your body shape and measurements, so it helps to arrive with specific questions about the gear you are considering.
What video platform do you use?
Google Meet, for all of our calls. The link is sent to you when you make the booking - there is nothing to install and it opens straight in your browser.
What if I can no longer make the meeting?
Please reschedule or cancel as soon as you realise. You can do both from your booking confirmation email. We are a very busy team, and this allows us to redirect our time to running our business.
Will you pressure me into buying something?
No. There is no pitch at the end of the call and no obligation attached to it. If you want to take the advice away and think about it, that is genuinely fine.
If you would rather not go hunting for everything again afterwards, we can send you a payment link covering all the gear and sizes we settled on - so it is one button on your end, with the right sizes already locked in.
Can you guarantee the size will be right?
Not exactly, and we would rather say so upfront. Sizing varies between brands and body types, and a video call cannot fully replace trying a garment on. We will get you as close as possible, and our normal 30-day exchange policy is there for the times it still misses.
Last updated: 31 August 2026. Fit consultations are a free advisory service offered by Peak Moto and are general sizing guidance, not a guarantee of fit. Bookings are handled through our scheduling provider, and calls are held on Google Meet.
Fifteen minutes now, or a return later
It is free, there is no obligation, and you will end up in gear that actually fits. Pick a time that suits you and we will see you on the call.
