Special orders and pre-orders
If an item is not on our racks we bring it in for you, which usually takes about a week to reach us before it goes out to you. We will always let you know the expected timing when you order, and you can email us any time at hello@peakmotogear.com.au for a status check.
From our shop to your door
How long delivery actually takes
These are Australia Post's business-day windows from the moment your parcel is scanned, not from the moment you order. Add our dispatch time to the front of them.
| Destination | Standard | Express |
|---|---|---|
| VictoriaMelbourne metro and regional | 2 - 4 business days | 1 - 2 business days |
| InterstateNSW, QLD, SA, WA, TAS, NT, ACT | 3 - 6 business days | 1 - 3 business days |
Remote and regional postcodes can run longer than the windows above, and Australia Post slows down through December. If your parcel is a matter of urgency, choose express and we will get it on the same day's run wherever we can.

Bring your helmet, and your bike if you can
Collection is the best time to check the fit properly. Jackets sit differently in a riding position than they do standing at a counter, and armour that feels fine on the shop floor can move once you are over the tank. There is no charge and no appointment needed - though if you would like an online fit session, book a fit consultation and we will set the time aside to work with you from anywhere in the world.
Beyond Australia
We post almost anywhere in the world
We are an Australian company, but we deliver worldwide with very few exclusions in the EU. Rates start from the figures below for a 250 gram parcel and rise with weight - the exact cost for your basket is calculated at checkout before you pay. Please note that we have temporarily turned orders off to the USA due to tariff complications.
| Destination | From | Typical pair of pants | Delivery |

| New Zealand | $17 NZDapprox. $15.50 AUD | approx. $35 NZD | 1 - 2 weeks |

Duties and taxes are the buyer's responsibility
The buyer is responsible for any duties involved in bringing our goods into your country. Customs charges, import duty and local taxes are set by your government, not by us, and they are collected by your carrier on delivery rather than at our checkout.
If you are unsure what your country charges on motorcycle clothing, check with your local customs authority before you order - it is far easier than sorting it out with a parcel already in transit.
On international orders you choose your carrier yourself - Australia Post or DHL - at checkout, where the cost of each is shown before you pay. Both are tracked, and tracking is free on every order. New Zealand orders typically land within one to two weeks; everywhere else runs closer to three to four weeks, longer if a parcel is held at customs.
Where is my order
Tracking, and what to do if it stalls
Tracking is free on every order, domestic and international. Your number is emailed to you the moment the label is scanned - check your junk folder if it has not appeared.
Track your parcel
Every domestic order travels with Australia Post. On international orders you choose your own carrier at checkout - Australia Post or DHL - so track with whichever one you picked. Your dispatch email confirms it either way.
Enter the tracking number from your dispatch email. If you cannot find the email, check your junk folder before you come to us - it is there more often than not.
If tracking has not moved in a few days, that is usually a missed scan rather than a lost parcel - Australia Post scans at handover points, not continuously. Give it two more business days on a domestic parcel, or a week on an international one.
If it still has not moved, email us at hello@peakmotogear.com.au with your order number and we will lodge an enquiry with Australia Post on your behalf. We would rather chase it for you than have you sit on hold.
Check the address first. The single most common cause of a stalled parcel is a unit number or a business name missing from the delivery address. It is on your confirmation email - have a look before you email us.
Check with your neighbours and your local post office. If nobody was home, Australia Post often leaves a card and holds the parcel at the nearest outlet for collection.
Then come to us. Order number in hand, we will take it from there.
When something goes wrong
Damaged or lost in transit
Parcels get dropped, crushed and occasionally soaked, and very occasionally one goes missing. Here is exactly what we do, and the one situation where our hands are tied.
If a parcel is stolen after it has been delivered, report it to Australia Post and to your local police. A safe drop address, a parcel locker or a work address is worth choosing at checkout if your front door is not somewhere you would leave a $700 jacket sitting.
Tell us quickly, and photograph everything
If a parcel arrives damaged, photograph the outer packaging before you unpack it, then the item itself, and email both to hello@peakmotogear.com.au. Carrier claims are far easier to win with a photo of a crushed satchel than with a description of one - and the sooner you tell us, the more Australia Post will entertain the case.
If the fit is not right
Returns and exchanges, in short
Buying protective gear online means guessing at a fit, and sometimes the guess is wrong. Start a return yourself in the returns portal below - the full terms live on our returns policy page.
Keep the gear wearable until you are sure
Try gear on indoors, over the clothes you would actually ride in, and keep the tags attached and the packaging intact until you have decided. Gear that has been worn on the bike, lost its tags, or been altered or repaired is much harder for us to accept back. Taking armour out to check the fit is completely fine - just put it back before you send the parcel.
Sizing between brands is not consistent, and European sizing in particular runs small through the shoulders. If you are between sizes, email us before you order rather than ordering both and returning one.
Everything has to come back, armour included
We cannot accept a return or an exchange if any part of the item is missing. That means back, shoulder, elbow, hip and knee armour, liners, belts, hoods and any spare parts the garment shipped with - all of it back in the parcel.
Every return is checked piece by piece when it reaches us, so it is worth laying the gear out and counting the inserts back in before you seal the box.
Free return shipping
What is Checkout+?
Checkout+ is an optional add-on worth 2% of your order value. Take it and your return shipping is free - if you need to return an eligible item within 30 days of your order, the label is covered.
How to make a return
Both routes start in the same place - the returns portal. The only difference is who pays for the label.
- Register your return through our returns portal.
- Submit your return request for approval.
- Once approved, your prepaid return label is emailed to the address used for your order.
- Print the label, attach it to your parcel and drop it off at your local post office.
- Register your return through our returns portal.
- Purchase a return shipping label directly through the portal.

No printer? The post office can print it for you
Use the QR code the portal provides and the staff at the post office will print your return label at the counter.
If you did not purchase Checkout+, return shipping is at your own cost. You will be prompted to pay for your return label by credit or debit card before you submit your return.
Straight answers
Shipping, answered
How quickly will my order be dispatched?
In-stock items are packed and sent within 24 hours of your order. If something has to come in from the distributor as a special order, it usually takes about a week to reach us before we send it on to you - and we will tell you the expected timing when you order rather than leaving you guessing.
When do I get free shipping?
On any order over $350 delivered within Australia. There is no code to enter - the free rate appears automatically at checkout once your basket passes the threshold. Under $350, standard post is a $12 flat rate no matter how heavy the parcel or how far it is going.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We are an Australian company but we deliver across the world, with very few exclusions in the EU. Rates start from around $13 USD to the United States, $17 NZD to New Zealand and £16 GBP to the United Kingdom for a 250 gram parcel, rising with weight. New Zealand orders usually arrive within one to two weeks and other countries within three to four.
Will I be charged customs or duty?
Possibly, and that charge is the buyer's responsibility. Any duties involved in bringing our goods into your country are set and collected by your government, not by us, so they are not included in what you pay at our checkout. Your local customs authority can tell you what applies to motorcycle clothing before you order.
Is my parcel tracked?
Yes - free tracking is provided on all orders, domestic and international. Domestic parcels go with Australia Post. On international orders you choose between Australia Post and DHL at checkout, and your dispatch email confirms which one is carrying it. If tracking has not updated for a few days it is usually a missed scan rather than a lost parcel, but email us with your order number and we will chase the carrier for you.
What happens if my gear arrives damaged?
Photograph the outer packaging before you unpack it, then the gear itself, and email both to us with your order number. We open a damage case with Australia Post on your behalf and work out a replacement or a refund with you. The sooner you tell us, the stronger the case - carriers are far less receptive to a claim raised weeks later.
My tracking says delivered but there is no parcel. What now?
Check with anyone else at the address, look in the usual safe-drop spots and ask at your local post office - a card is often left when nobody is home. If it still has not turned up, email us and we will look at the tracking record with you. Where Australia Post has recorded a proof of delivery to your address, such as a delivery scan, a signature or a photo at the door, the parcel counts as delivered and we are not responsible for it going missing after that point. In that case report it to Australia Post and to your local police.
What is Checkout+?
Checkout+ is an optional add-on worth 2% of your order value that covers your return shipping. You choose it in the cart: there are two buttons, the top one continues with Checkout+ and shows your total including the fee, and the one below continues without it. If you take it and need to return an eligible item within 30 days, register the return in the portal and we will email you a prepaid label. If you do not, you can still return items - you just pay for your own return label. The Checkout+ fee itself is non-refundable.
Can I return gear with the armour taken out?
Taking the armour out to check the fit is completely fine - just put every piece back before you send the parcel. We cannot accept a return or an exchange if any part of the item is missing, and that includes back, shoulder, elbow, hip and knee inserts, liners and any spare parts the garment came with. Every return is checked piece by piece when it reaches us.
How do I return or exchange something?
Lodge it yourself through our returns portal - you will need your order number and the email address you ordered with. If you bought Checkout+ with your order, your prepaid label is emailed to you once the return is approved. If you did not, you buy the return label through the portal by credit or debit card before you submit. No printer? Use the QR code at the post office and they will print it for you. The full terms are on our exchanges, refunds and returns page.
Can I pick my order up in store?
Yes - choose click & collect at checkout and pick it up from our Melbourne or Brisbane shop at no charge. We will email you when it is ready. It is also the best way to buy protective gear, because you can try the fit on with someone who does it for a living before you commit.
How we keep this accurate: rates and delivery windows on this page were last checked against Australia Post and our carriers on 30 August 2026. Postage pricing changes periodically and the figure charged at checkout is always the current one. Questions? Email hello@peakmotogear.com.au.
Still have a question about your order?
Email us and a person who works in the shop will answer - usually the same day. Or drop into Melbourne or Brisbane and we will sort it across the counter.
